How is everyone doing? I lost a few pounds in the last week. Well 2. Any one else have a report? I think it is good to post things to say YAY! to, but also we should post when we don't feel like saying, "YAY!" Life changes can be a difficult undertaking some days. We are here to listen and share the good and, well, the not so good. Why not post and get support?

Thank you for your post. I am sorry I did not see it sooner. Don't be afraid. You have taken an important step to improve yourself. Goals are good and very important but the journey is important too. In other words, Having a weight loss goal is great but enjoy feeling better with each pound you lose or each inch. Act like a thin person right now. Eat a few bites and push it away. Only eat great food not stuff that is ok. Get a new hairdo, new exercise grab, etc. Look nice wherever you go. It makes it feel good and feeling good contributes to caring about yourself and caring about yourself will motivate your goal achievement.

Hello Good to see you. I am doing well. The scale has been dropping slowly but I have been losing inches. I work in garden all summer and it has been a great help. Now what? This winter I need to shovel snow?

Keep in touch let me know how it is going.

Just enrolled today and was happy to find DC as like you I was very successful Eons ago. It looks quite different and hope I
Can loose the 50+ which is now like cement to my body. Just lost my husband, I am kind of depressed and hope I can stay focus, no cheating since nights are quite long.

Just joined for the 2nd time. Was extremely successful in the mid 80's and kept off the 90 lbs. for 5 years. Then quit smoking (yay), got a new job with more stress and hours and different lifestyle and poof back came the weight. But retired, and now it's all about me and getting healthy and able to fully enjoy the job free liberation. Just curious, I found a Diet Center location in another town not far away, can I go there or is that a different membership?

I am just starting. Did this a long time ago. Have a question: now with all the choices, reading the success story which of those diets worked best. Being on line the choice are difficult to. Pick. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I see lots of comments but no answer in this community. We need help and encouragement.

Maybe only we community members are monitoring the threads. I like the Exclusively You Diet. I think the supplements have been great at regulating the cravings and I typically order some meal replacement bars and shakes so I can have something in a pinch (plus the fudge bars for dairy when I need a grab and go). With regard to the question about a Diet Center in your neighborhood, it would be a different plan. Each Diet Center is a franchise and the fee for counseling (and whatever diet plan you chose) would need to go to them. You can still buy foods from the website though, but if you went to the center you wouldn't have to pay postage. If you are thinking of going to a local center, watch the ads right after Christmas - everybody has New Year's resolutions and they typiclaly will have sales. The nice thing about going into a center is the accountability. We have to work harder online to be accountable.

Yes I agree that the accountability was the reason for my success in the mid 80's. I may look into going to a local center but it's 30 minutes away. The one locally closed. Back in the 80's, my counselor introduced me to a rep because she thought I would be a good fit to open my own. My husband, at the time, didn't want to take the risk. It may be something I may look into next year.

Hope you all did reasonably well over Christmas! Did any one have major challenges?

I made peanut butter fudge, choc chip cookies, turtles, and peanut clusters for family and friends gifts. I was ok except I did have 3 pieces of fudge sporadically thru the holidays but the other stuff weren't my faves so I didn't eat any. I did not make sugar cookies tho because that would have been my downfall. If I have to make something, I make something I don't care for and that makes it easier not to cheat. I still lost weight! I have to always think this is a lifestyle change and not just a diet so if I eat or drink something that isn't on diet, I don't beat myself up, I just get right back on diet the next day.

Way to go Suzieboop! You showed lots of cunning and resourcefulness! And you were rewarded and can be a role model with a plan for us to emulate! Keep up the good work! I am heading to Florida for a few days and will get lots of walking in - and I plan to stay on target. I plateaued over the holidays but should be able to get on the downward trend now that they are over.

Ready For The Journey
Happy New Year everybody. Glad to be back on program and on this board. I too, like most of you lost 76 lbs back in the day. Now it is a new day and I need to get healthier to improve my quality of life. One thing about this program is it has worked for me in the past and if I give it a chance, it will work for me now. I've decided that I am "Ready for the journey" and I hope we can all do this together. Your love and and especially your support is appreciated. I need you all. Let's be accountable. Not only to others, but to ourselves.

Hi I just joined online Monday as there are no centers near me. Can anyone help with some questions? Like can we eat hummus? As long as we have our food lists I.e. 5V 2Starch etc ,does it matter when we have them during he day? Hope you can help!
