Hey Everyone! Finally getting back on the computer. I don't get on too often these days! It's good to see how well you have done, Mark!! You are such a motivator!! I'm still tredding along! I have my ups and down days, but realize it's only as good as I make it! It's great to hear the successes from fellow DC'rs!!!

Mark, Those numbers are just great. I lost weight 15 pounds last summer and my total cholesterol numbers did not move at all. My blood pressure dropped so my dr decreased my meds. I wonder if I lost a few more pounds if my chol numbers would drop. Yours dropped a lot. That is awesome.

My dr has a negative attitude too about my chances of losing an ample amount of weight to lower my bp and chol very much. I refused to take cholesterol meds. She was not happy. Did you have to take meds?

You will get down to your desired weight. You have control of that. Just do it.

I am doing ok. I need to exercise more to get my weight down more than a few pounds here and there. Movement is a must for me. I am going to start walking everyday like I used to no matter what. And do some weight bearing stuff at least two maybe three times a week.

So I predict I will have better reports soon Your inspiration is helping all of us.

Hi DGallob, Good to see you back. My weight is not consistently going down either. We will have to take our inspiration from Mark. Let's make it a great week. :-)

The supplements are supposed to help control blood suger as well as scheduled meals and the content of the meals. Right?

Hi Annalee:

The supplements help in many more ways than you think! They ensure proper nutrient intake for good health while dieting, they aid in appetite maintenance by stablilizing blood sugars and they provide optimal use by the body of the B Vitamins. Also, when you chew the supplements this helps to satisfy your chew cravings.

Good job. Sometimes it is slow. At these times you might be losing inches, or your body might be adjusting. Most importantly you are sticking with it. And the life style changes you are making will help you keep it off and that is really where the rubber meets the road for me. I can lose if I get in the mood but it is hard to keep it off. I am down a 1 pound today. I need to walk walk walk walk. It is so hot here as it is everywhere I guess; that limits the outdoor activity for me. OK No more excuses. I can walk later in the evening or early a.m.

Point 5 down this morning. It would be nice to be 5 point but if I keep doing point 5 soon it will be.
Down is good even if it is slow.

Good to "see" you too Annalee!

Was 196 this morning.. Up a lb.. A bit frustrated but not really upset, as my body fat calculation shows that I've gained muscle and actually lost fat..

Did heavy leg workout on Tuesday, was recovering yesterday..

Was 21% bodyfat, 41.5 lbs of fat, 154.5 lbs of lean body mass.. Still.. It's so much nicer to see the weight number go down.

Well made it through the holidays and BCS bowl games without too much damage.. Had been stalled around 195 lbs. Motivation so so.. Up to 205 because of the holidays, today was down to 200.25. Now to get right back on it and get to my ideal weight.

Well, before I started back on this last year, I had purchased some 38" waist trousers at walmart. I like the dickies type khaki work pants.. I had not worn them because they were too small (!) and they still had all of the lables and tags on them.. So my wife took them back and was able to exchange them for 34" waist dickies.. And they FIT!!! They were a bit tight still.. But the fact that I EVEN GOT THEM ON was huge motivation.. I'm going to be super-strict with myself over the next 30 days and see how much of this extra weight I can get off..

As of today 200.5 lbs..

Hungry and knawing on my knuckles. Ate some additional protein..

Did a body fat measurement and my lean body mass is actually 158 lbs, so I don't think I will be getting down to my "ideal" weight of 152.

Swimming tomorrow.

Good going on the clothes! I am having the same experience pulling smaller clothes our of my closet and moving my belt over several holes. 38 to 34 is a real motivator! I was in Orlando this week and was able to log another 2 pounds off! I am getting close to my goal! I have 6.6 pounds to go! Buth then I may change my goal to be 8 pounds less than my current goal. That's what my goals was when I first dieted with Diet Center! Keep up the good work!

Thanks!

199.3 this morning.. Still not back down to where I was pre-holidays, but better than 205..

I've changed my weight goals a bit since starting too.. Learning more about body fat percentages and lean body mass.. Targeting 12-15% body fat.. Provided that is where all of the stomach and side rolls disappear.. Basically, I want to be lean and not have visble fat deposits. Whatever my weight is at that time will be the new standard. At that point I'm going to shift my focus to building muscle..

Wonderful news! I hope everyone gets to see the numbers go down - 1 pound until by goal. I am going to look great for my son's wedding! You know, once you get used to the program, it's so easy to keep track of what you are allowed. Keep up the good work, everyone!
